Healing Properties and Uses of Green Aventurine
As one type of natural quartz, Aventurine comes in a rainbow of colors. Different colors occur due to the presence of other minerals like hematite and mica. The hardness of this stone is 6.5-7.
The name aventurine derives from the Italian “a ventura” meaning “by chance”. Notable occurrences of Aventurine are in Brazil, Chile, Tibet, Nepal, Spain, India, Russia, and Austria.
Green Aventurine is known as the “Stone of Opportunity,” It is believed to be more powerful than the other aventurine colors. it’s the stone which was thought to bring abundance, luck and chance. It is said to increase perception and creative insight, especially in manifesting prosperity and wealth, or for increasing favor in competitions or games of chance. Aventurine is mainly quartz, a quartzite, usually containing mica.
Aventurine is most commonly green. though it also occurs in other colors including red and blue. It is mostly translucent and often banded, but an overabundance of an included mineral may render it opaque. The color of Green Aventurine comes from Fushite particles within the Quartz, while shades of red, brown and orange are attributed to Hematite or Goethite inclusions. It is a heart chakra stone in chakra world.
Healing properties of Aventurine
It is used to aid nearsightedness. Aventurine has a stabilizing effect on the emotions. It is excellent for teenagers.
